2024 Hyundai Elantra N is a Little Naughty and Quite Nice

This signature high-performance 4-door sports sedan features upgraded details everywhere you look.

Sure, sure, the 2024 Hyundai Elantra N was born and bred to handle corners like a pro. With its impressive 276 horsepower, 289 lb.-ft 2.0L Turbo engine, stiffer suspension, and Nürburgring-tested driving dynamics that maximize grip and precision, the brand's signature N performance car is naturally a little naughty. Quick off the line, especially in launch control mode, the cornering carving differential delivers maximized speed and traction along curving roadways, while the available N Grin shift also adds a thrilling boost of power with just one push of the red button conveniently set right at your fingertips. To boot, the variable exhaust valve system combines throaty analog-like tones that roar through the vehicle's exterior dual exhaust outlets together with an interior sound equalizer which defintely makes Elantra N … well, grin inducing.

But the upgraded performance factors and eye-catching design elements are not solely responsible for making the Elantra N so noteworthy. The car is also jam-packed with specialty detailing inside its tech-centric cabin as well. Subtle enhancements for the latest model year include new soft-touch door panels, H-Tex leather seating surfaces on Limited trims, three additional USB-C outlets, a new instrument cluster design, redesigned charging pad, and more. Unique new features, however, consist of even more focused refinements that set the vehicle apart from the crowd.

Designed for both performance and comfort, new N light sport bucket seats with illuminated logo provide support during spirited driving, ensuring that you remain firmly in place through sharp turns and dynamic maneuvers. The contoured design cradles the driver and front passenger, reducing fatigue on longer drives while maintaining a sporty aesthetic that matches the vehicle's aggressive performance capabilities. The seats are adorned with an illuminated N logo which not only accentuates the sporty interior and adds a touch of flair and sophistication but also adds really cool visual appeal, especially noticeable in low-light conditions. Regardless of whether you're making your way around the track or simply cruising along city streets, these functional seats enhance the overall ambiance of the Elantra N.

Highlighting the car's high-performance pedigree, the Elantra N steering wheel with a distinctive N badge is a centerpiece of the car's sporty interior. Wrapped in premium materials and featuring a contoured shape that fits naturally in your hands, the luxurious steering wheel is equipped with multi-functional controls including audio, navigation, and cruise control settings. One press of the easy-to-access NGS button unleashes maximum performance by activating a temporary boost in power thereby adding an extra layer of excitement to your driving experience. The steering wheel also includes paddle shifters, giving drivers the ability to manually control gear shifts for a more engaging and responsive drive.

The redesigned shifter knob utilizes aluminum accents and leather-wrapped finishes to blend functionality with a sporty aesthetic. Designed specifically for the performance-oriented N model, the shifter is both visually striking and ergonomically optimized to enhance the driving experience. Crafted with high-quality materials, the distinctive design adorned with the iconic N logo reflects the car's sporty character while reinforcing the vehicle's performance lineage. The knob's shape and texture are designed to provide a comfortable grip while integrating seamlessly with the interior to enhance the overall cockpit ambiance. The inclusion of short-throw mechanics further ensures that each shift is quick and deliberate, contributing to the car's exhilarating driving feel.

The 2024 Hyundai Elantra N is a blend of high performance and refined comfort, showcasing Hyundai's commitment to creating a vehicle that excels both on the track and in everyday driving. With its combination of readily available power, contemporary design, and advanced technology, the Elantra N stands out as a quality performance car that promises delight at every thrill-eliciting turn.
