Fort Worth-born Holly Brittner returns to Cowtown, opens Hoppin’s first Texas location with husband Michael.

Hoppin’ Brings Self-Pour Taprooms to Fort Worth

Hoppin' is set to open in Fort Worth's The Foundry District on August 24. This new innovative bar concept (2608 Weisenberger St., Fort Worth, TX 76107) marks an introduction of self-pour taprooms to Fort Worth and the franchise's first Texas location.

Originally started in Charlotte, NC in 2017, Hoppin' is a cutting-edge taproom concept that equips customers with technology that tallies their self-poured drinks and reduces service time.

The new location in The Foundry District is owned by Michael Brittner and wife and Fort Worth boomerang Holly Brittner, who were introduced to Hoppin' when they moved to Charlotte, NC in 2016. The couple fell in love with the taproom's self-pour concept, modern ambiance, and community feel, deciding then to bring the franchise to Holly's hometown of Fort Worth after moving back to be closer to family.

We knew we wanted to be in the Cultural District in Fort Worth. The Foundry District has lots of potential and feels more like a more tightknit community than any other area we looked at, said Hoppin' franchise co-owner Holly Brittner. Hoppin' is a fresh new take on a place to hang out. It's unique because the self-pour concept keeps the bar from being too crowded. You can just walk up and get a drink yourself.

Hoppin' Fort Worth will have 58 beers on tap featuring several locally brewed beers as well as a selection of international beers that are hard to find.

For non-beer drinkers, seltzers, wine, and cocktails will be available as well as non-alcoholic beverages. Food trucks will be onsite Fridays and Saturdays. Hoppin' is partnering with fellow Foundry District neighbor, Maple Branch Brewery, to deliver pizza to its guests throughout the week and on weekends.

The public grand opening event for Hoppin' Fort Worth is scheduled for Saturday, August 24 from 12 noon to midnight. It will feature live music 1 to 3 p.m. from Alex Caruthers Band and Nate Burnham 4 to 7 p.m., and DJ Soft Cherry will spin from 8 p.m. to midnight. Food will be provided by Gordo's Mexican Cocina food truck 4 p.m. to midnight.

Hoppin' joins several other retailers that owner Asana Partners has introduced to The Foundry District in recent months, with more on the way. Recently opened or signed retailers in the District include Alexis James Salon, Kicks Source, My Salon Suites, Salute Wine Bar, Squeeze Massage, as well as long-time Foundry retailers Blackland Distillery, Bumblebee Yoga, Doc's Records, M&O Grill, and Maple Branch Craft Brewery.
